Here's a funny one. I went in about a week ago and got some of the Reach toothbrushes and Quaker granola bars and random other things.
I had three $5 RRs to use. Go through all the coupons, pay and I am doublechecking my receipt. Well, I had returned four boxes of cereal that I bought the week before. He insisted on doing this in one transaction. Not a big deal except I paid $1.99 a box and he credited me three at $1.99 and one at $.99. He swore that is what the receipt said. Ok where is the receipt. He says he handed it back to me. Ok. After searching all pockets, purse, counter, and anywhere else I think it might be. I say are you sure? He insists. I have not gone anywhere. I do not remember him handing it back to me. Yeah....
Then I look at my receipt and realize I forgot to give him an in-store coupon and the chex mix I got rang up wrong. At first, he does not want to adjust the receipt. He says, well you got a good deal because I let you use two of the $5RR when they were expired. What? It was about 1 in the morning and the two that expired were from the day before or should I say hour before. Yeah....get a life.
So I say fine let's refund the whole thing. Give me back my coupons and I will go do this somewhere else as I do not normally shop there. He gives at this moment and gives me my $4 plus refund.
Never found the elusive cereal receipt but I let it go since I was done dealing with him and just had it corrected by another manager when I returned the following week to do some shopping.
I also noticed there was another in-ad coupon for the Reach tothbrushes that did not come off or he didnt' scan it. So that was another $2.40 plus the $1 he didn't credit me that I got back. Glad I check my receipts, but don't get the whole well you only $5 OOP so you should be happy mentality....not when I could have paid less.
So yeah....
