Count your items, qs, and RRs carefully if your store has the new cash registers. If your RR puts the item count over it will take it without beeping, and will automatically deduct some money from the other q's when they total the sale. It happened to me today when a cashier asked if I wanted to use a RR that came out on a previous order. I told her I wasn't interested in buying anything else and didn't think it would take it. She said it would so I thought something had changed. The $3 RR went through but it deducted .50 on the two qs I used when the receipt came out. I got them to void the sale and give me my RR back and only use the qs. This took some time as the employees and manager were untrained on voiding sales and had to call another store manager.
