I'm so sad! I bought the L'oreal rebate item, and can't find my receipt! Normally I register them as soon as I get home. In fact I thought I did until I checked my claims today. It would have to be a big ticket item, too! I'm still trying to figure out the date so maybe Walgreens can look it up. I think I used a gift card. Every happen to anyone?
I thought I lost my Wags receipt for the Loreal & Almay but luckily found it. I try to keep all of my receipts for the month in one clear insert. I do this because a couple times back I found unexpected rebate offers for items that I had already purchased. Bonus!! Also makes it easier if you should need to return/exchange an item.
Sorry to hear about that. That happened to me last month too. Well, sort of. The cashier inadvertently ripped my receipt...the part containing the RFN number was missing so I could not enter my receipt online to apply for the rebate. I called the store and she said, "No problem..we can look it up"! You need to do this quickly though...it makes it far more difficult if much time passes.
Long story short...they can go into the back office and somehow find your receipt in the system. Good luck!
I did have them try to track the receipt, but I bought it late Oct. or ealy Nov, and it's not on my credit card, so it was probably cash or gift card. They need to know the date within a few days to look it up, otherwise it's a lot of work for them. I tried a few days, but no luck. I might try again, though. Thanks.
