    Default Walgreens Trip 6-21-11

Just wanted to share what savings I found at Walgreens today:

    Transaction #1
Gillette Fusion Razor on sale for $9.89
Used MFQ from 6-5 PG for $4.00
    Total OOP: $6.71
    Register Rewards Earned: $5.00

    Transaction #2
Suavitel Fabric Softener (x2) on sale for $2.99 BOGO (Walgreen Sale Paper Coupon)
Palmolive 10oz Dish Soap (x2) on sale for $0.89 each
Laffy Taffy Candy (x2) $0.15 each (only for tax purposes)
    Transaction Total: $5.49
Register Rewards Applied from Trans #1: $5.00
Total OOP: $0.49 - the Walgreens I went to wouldn't accept the $5RR without being able to charge a minimum of 47 cents tax. So, I baught two Laffy Taffy candies. Next time I will keep this in mind and plan for it!

TOTAL OOP FOR BOTH TRANSACTIONS: $7.20 (cheaper than the Razors originally cost!)

All in all I think it was a successful trip! This was my first attempt, so I figure I will only get better and better at this! Not to mention the folks at this Walgreens and the CVS right next door are EXTREMELY helpful when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck! I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi thanks for posting that deal, Elijahmom!

I have both those coupons, the BOGO one has a P&G number of 110605 expires 07/31/11, and the $2 off body wash has a number of 110515 and expires 06/30/11. I don't know exactly how to read those P&numbers, looks like dates to me.

    My trip to Walgreens:

2 Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium 90 count (still on sale for $10 from several weeks ago but marked $14.99) -$5 coupon from Walgreens June Savings Book.
(Paid $15.00 RR, Received $20 RR)

    2 Schiff Supplements (Move Free)@ 29.99 ea. =$59.98
    BOGO -$29.99
    -$20 RR
    -$5 MQ, -$1 WQ
OOP $3.99 (I never would have bought such expensive supplements in my life before couponing)
    ISO list:
    Shedd's Spread Country Crock
    Folgers Coffee
    Mighty Dog food
    Loreal Excellence hair color
Nature Made vitamins codes (on the bottles). TY!

I am new to this...especially the stacking thing so when I went to Walgreens (my second store because the first didn't even have Gillette BW on the shelves) I realized after getting home that I totally forgot to give the cashier the Walgreen coupon...ugh. I couldn't believe I did it...it was in my hand. I went back the next day with another BOGO and Walgreen coupon which made me feel so much better lol. Now I am actually sitting here thinking of going two more times today to get more BW. I just set my coupon binder up and cut all my coupons and found 2 more BOGO's. Am I getting greedy? I am just beginning to stockpile and my fiance uses a lot of BW. Actually he keeps taking half of everything I get home with him lol.

Sometimes I feel the same about greed. But when you really think about it...its not. Stocking up is always a good thing...hate to run out and when you need it, you don't have it. As for me, I stock up on all coupons I have and if its too much, my hubby gives it away to his relatives and buddies.

Luv2bhapy2 ~ How many total are you thinking of getting? 8 total? IMO, that's not being greedy, that's stockpiling. Since you say your fiance uses lots of B/W that might be a few months worth...
