Found $10.00 on My trip to Walgreens

so i get to wags around 8:30am and i see a lady and her husband standing there at the register cashing out with all kinds of dry idea probably about 20-30 of them. anyway im there for the same deal but see cleaned the self. so i was mad. I didnt say anything but just left.there is another wags 10 mins away, so i went there, my girlfriend yelling because its 10 minutes out of our way. we get there i turn to go down an isle and i spot a $10.00 dollar bill lying on the ground,picked it up while walking to the dry idea and right guard body wash. fully stocked. now here is where i got confused. i have 6 b1g1 coupons for the dry idea or right guard deal. i grab 6 (i thought that 1 coupon per item will make them free.) so i check out he only accepted 3 (1 coupon for 2) so i got another 6 and used the remaining 3 coupons. was this correct? my oop was $5.00 but i had other items on my list.
