Ribbit: Did they just refuse to take and scan it or did they can it and have it beep at them??
Couple things you should probably know.
1. RR's are manufacturer coupons.
2. The total number of coupons plus your RRs can not be more the than the number of items in your order. You technically had 2 items and 3 coupons (2 mfcs and 1 RR)
3. You could have purchased a pencil or something really small and used the coupon.
Now... The cashiers are NOT supposed to refused to scan arbitrarily as if they KNOW what they are doing.... they don't. The Machine "KNOWS" I had a similar situation and they flat refused to even scan my RRs. I called the District office and complained profusely... I got a call that very afternoon from the store manager. AND a couple days later I received a $5 bill in the mail with a note and a short list of info on RRs.
If they were RUDE to you at all call the district manager.
