Default What is Wags official policy on IP's???

I went with mom to Wags yesterday, and we both tried to use the Vaseline 1.50/1 IP.

Our coupons were printed in full color, and printed on white paper.

The head manager said they no longer could be accepted, and would not even scan it. He declared that they could be copied, and that Wags was never reimbursed for IP's, even if they are legit.

I think he saw that we were hitting the RR deals pretty hard, and decided to punish and limit what we could buy.

He was friendly, but smug. The more I think about it, I realize that he was saying "You are pro couponers, and I don't like you doing this, therefore am accusing you (in my own way) of photocoping coupons."

For what its worth, I went back later in the day, and the assistant manager took the coupon without problems, and said, "If it scans, it is fine with me!"

What do you think of this????

I also had my IP coupon refused. If they think they can't trust me, well I don't trust them! I don't feel comfortable shopping at a Chain store that does not have consistent rules. Each store is allowed to make up their own rules and I just don't think this is right.

My store actually has signs up at the registers that say they do not take IP's.

My store takes them no problem. It's unfortunately one of those YMMV things, it seems.

HAHA..My Wags hates seeing me coming with my list of how to "work" the coupons with UPC's and exact products. I carry a plaid small notepad with all my deals on them. As for IP's my printer gave out about a year ago & I am missing LOTS of deals, but I don't miss the headache of store complaining. I think people get upset that they cannot get the deals we do. I remember YEARS ago, the thing that got me couponing is a lady went through Publix & had 2 carts full of groceries, 24.68OOP! The whole line of baggers were amazed & some were putting her down, some people just cannot be HAPPY for someone who takes the time & educate theirself about getting deals. Kinda like winning a race

Red face Try this..

Whenever I have a store that refuses to take my IP coupons I contact the company that sponsored the coupon and let them know what store is refusing to accept them. Most of the time this works, and sometimes I even get more coupons directly from the company.

And of course I always carry the store's coupon policy (I dont have one for WAGS, except a copy of an email from the district office stating my particular store DOES accept IP's).
