Default Fsa

I think it is telling you that this particular item is eligible for reimbursement from your FSA (flexible spending account), if you have set one up through work.

An FSA allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to use for medical expenses. Some companies offer this plan and some don't. There is a catch though, you have to decide in advance how much money you will set aside for the entire year, and if you don't spend it (I think by March 31st of the following year), you lose it.

Please don't take my description as 100% accurate, but it gives you the general idea...

I just have to coment on this. I LOVE that the pharmacies and some other retailers are adding this to your reciept! I had NO CLUE my son's pull ups counted as FS expenditure! I looked at a reciept one day and I felt like crying, we've had nightime pullups for going on 5 years now and I had never turned them in. Now I know! There are a lot of suprising things that come up as FSA approved, if you have a FSA keep a close eye. you could be getting reimbursed from your tax free FSA account for some of those free items you are stocking up on!
