Default Walgreens Question

I have not bought too many things at Wags, but have been keeping my eyes open due to the great deals I see so many others getting. I had something happen to me yesterday, and I want to make sure the cashiers were correct and I didn't get gyped.

I bought two small Glade soy fragrance candles, which were marked 2/$5, but you were to get a $1RR back making them 2/$4. Well I had the cashier ring these separately (it wasn't busy), and I also had two $1.00 coupons for these, so I used one on each candle. Well my RR did not print and she said it was because you could not use MFG coupons and get the RR. Is this true? If so, why? I thought the RR money was coming from Wags not the mfg. The asst mgr. said the mfg doesn't want to give money away on the coupon and the RR. Hmmmm.

You needed to buy both of the candles together in the same transaction to get the RR in this deal as it was $2/4 after you bought both & received your $1 RR.

Using MQs have no barring on whether or not you receive a RR.

The deal was buy two for five and get $1 back in rr. you bought them in two transactions and that is why you didn't get the rr.You could of bought them together and used your q's and gotten your $1 rr.Just make sure that at walgreens you have to have the same number of items to q's.Thats why we use fillers so it will keep the oop small
