Default Sally Hanson Catalina--what's the secret number?

Has anyone tried this. I want to know the details.

The cashier told me today that a lady came in and bought some of the small Sally Hanson nail polishes. When she paid a $5 Sally Hanson q printed out. The cashier couldn't remember how many bottles she bought. The lady went and bought some more nail polish and ANOTHER $5 Q printed out. She did it again and ANOTHER printed. She was going to give that one to her sister.

With the $.50 IP's this might be a good deal, but I want to know how many I have to get for my initial purchase and then roll it like she did.

The $5 Q that printed was only good on SH nail polish.

OK...so I've done this a million times. If you buy 2 bottles of any of the polish....get $3 Sally Hansen RR. If you buy 3 nail polishes....you get a $5 Sally hansen RR! So in order to roll them.....cheapest....buy 3 bottles....the Hard as Nails seems to be the cheapest right now or the Extreme Wear....use either the $1 or $0.50 off MF coupons on each bottles. When you do your second transaction...since they are sooo cheap...again..use your $1 or $0.50 MF coupon and add in the $5 catalina. Make sure that you use some filler items because you will get all the overage. I picked up some toys for my kids. Make cute stocking stuffers. Also throw in the $3 coupon from last week if you had them.....from the front page of the WG flyer, it may have only been exclusive to NJ. I don't really care about the nail polish....but you can't beat all the overage your getting. Good luck and keep us posted!

Default thought I'd give it a try..

8 different transactions, all the same thing:

    3 sally hansen nail polish (got cheapest ones @ 1.55)- 3 $1Q=1.65

received $5 cat (save $5 on any sally hansen product)

    last transaction:

    2 gal milk @ 2.29 ea + 1 sally hansen polish @ 1.00 + 1 oreo brownie (filler-cashier twisted my arm to try one )-$1q - $5 cat = .66

25 nail colors (gift baskets) + 2 gal milk + oreo brownie =
$17.14 oop (that includes tax) & $35 in catalinas left

28 items for about .61 each & catalinas to spend later the ones I received today expire 10-4

OK I'm a bit confused. The $5 cat is for any sally hansen product, but the three nail polishes total to less than $5 (before coupons), and it still works?? I just want to make sure before I go try it!!

Thats right. Buy 3 nail polishes on sale (mine were 1.55 each) used 3 $1Qs, total was 1.65 + tax = 2.06, received $5 catalina toward any sally hansen product.
Wanted to see if it allowed the overage, so I bought just 1 nail polish, the 2 gallons of milk, and a filler (darn oreo brownie ).
used another $1 Q and the $5 catalina, allowed the overage!
Would've been an even sweeter deal if they had cheaper nail polish (some are on sale $1.00-1.20), still can't complain about this at all

Now I'm mad! My cashier wouldn't let me use my .50 MQ with the catalina! Grrr. I'm going to have to try this again tomorrow. I might even take back a few of the nail polishes!
