Default Get this bit of nonsense...

So I decided to make a quick trip to my local 24 hour WAGs tonight/this morning as I cannot sleep anyway. Figrued I would do a couple of Triaminic(which by the way I only got one $5RR) & Listrine deals and anything else that struck me.

So upon entering the store, I was informed by one of the AMs who knows me and I quote here, "I will not be able to take alot of coupons from you tonight." When I asked why. He told me, "Because my store manager said I can only accept one coupon per transaction." I then asked do you mean one coupon period or one manufacturer coupon, one Walgreens coupon, one Register reward per transaction, etc. He said one coupon period. He then added that his store manager also said that it was the law to accept one coupon per transaction.(Say what!)

So as I fight off the fits of laughter swelling inside me, I tell the AM that is a bunch of nonsense, thank him for telling me the info before I shop, and advise him that I would contact corporate for clarification. I then proceeded to grab three items which I decided to do in two separate transactions using one coupon per transaction.

When I went to checkout the cashier(who also knows me) asked me if I knew that I could only do two transactions total. I said no but that I was only planning on doing two so no big deal, but it hits me as to what she just said. So then I asked her, "Are you saying I can only use one coupon per transaction and in addition only do two transactions total?" She said, "Yes."

Mind you, I visited this store the very night before and used two RRs in one transaction(my only transaction) without issue buying two gallons of milk.

At this point, I think this store manager has lost his mind, but just tell her, "That's fine. I'll be contacting corporate."

So I've already shot off an e-mail and will be calling first thing later on morning as well.

What I think the problem here is this store manager wants to limit the RR deals, which is fine but to think that he can limit people to one coupon per transaction is beyond ludicrious. If that is the case, off to the other WAGs I will go...always.

Like he woke up on the wrong side of the coupon bed. I'm still laughing at what an idiot this fella must be or thinks I/we couponers am/are.

P.S.

The WAGs Q beeped for the two Grape flavored Triaminic 14ct. strips I bought. The cashier & the AM both tried to tell me it was because the picture shows a box of the Daytime thin strips when I got the Nighttime ones. I was like, Are you serious? It says right there Triaminic 14ct. strips - not Daytime only. Then he tries to say Well you know how this goes with the RR deals. Sometimes it is what is pictured. I'm like and what does that have to with your own coupon not working. Long story short - he gave me the credit but what he was trying to tell me to not accept it was hilarious to say the least.

If this was what the manager had told me I would understand as whether or not a store is willing to take more then one per transaction has always been YMMV, but that is not the case. Instead he was saying I could only use one coupon period per transaction. That is unacceptable IMO.

Default I finally went in WaGs after long time, I had to

Well, it just so happened that I needed all the precise items that were on sale. Mouthwash, cough strips, ear drops. Like the perfect storm, no stock in the cabinet, lack of sales and I thoght that I had enough lying around in my bags etc.

I had told myself that will no go to Wags, but finally after lot of thought decided to go.

Well, the store I went to is a 24hr store and converted from Drugfair and they had 3/10 store Q this week (I beleive this is NJ only ).
I went and stood in the front. And what a carnival it was. Most of the people had RRs and Qs with them and the cashier was explaining HER rules of RR to the buyer who seemed quite unhappy.Well Code 1 and another line opens. The new cashier .. similar thing and another code 1, then cosmetics opens and another code 1 and code 3, well photo opens and another code 1. Imagine 4 counters open and the all four customers are stuck because of RRs. Manager is runnung from one to the second counter and is seen having rather not polite discussions with the customers. And perhaps u can see that they are unhappy.
My turn comes, first transaction No Qs,no RR used I only received RR. Cashier is happy and smiles . Second transaction I give 2 RRs from the first and 4 MQs, 3Wgs coupon and 6 items.. well, what do I say? i had to go to the car,put the AC on and rework the transactions.. go back in and do them again. I still cant figure out or exactly remember the mumbo jumbo of what she said.

I hadn't been in weeks-thought I'd try the True North, Triaminic and those delightfully cheap Ghirardelli candy bars.

I did a few trans without issue. all my RR's printed. This is not usually the case at this particular store. The morning mgr. on the wknds has always been a major pain in the fanny-he wasn't there!

What a load of horse hockey!

Can't wait to hear what corporate tells you.

I did the Triaminic deal one time, no problems. Used that RR to get the Murine earwax removal: got my RR for that with no problems. Sometimes I really think managers shake a Magic 8 Ball to tell them what to do...

I'm seriously debating with myself (for days now) whether I even want to do any of the RR deals this week, or whether I'm going to just go spend my $2 RR and be done. I just don't like having large amounts of RRs because Wags makes it so difficult to use them.
