this year I'm making it a challenge to fill the boxes with things I've purchased on clearance or with coupons...since we do 4 boxes, 2 young children and 2older I will be keeping my eyes open for all sorts of bargains....last night I was able to pick up a couple of little kites for .10, some nail polish for $1 and an Orlando t shirt for $1. Not much but its a start.

a friend of mine has an adopted daughter who got a Operation Chritmas Child shoebox when she was in Africa so this project became personal to our family

I did this for the first time last year, then several times through out the year I received mail from them. The newsletters/info from them was full color, very nice brochure type mailings. Every time I received them I thought that if they would use the money spent on mailings they could do a lot more good for children. (Even if the brochures are donated, some one some where spent a lot to make & mail them).
