My favorite wags not so favorite anymore

I stopped in at my favorite wags yesterday for the excedrin deal and I always check out the clearance rack everytime I go in. On the clearance rack they had big boxes of Lipton tea bags on sale for .80. I grabbed 4 boxes and went to pay for my purchases. The cashier rang the everything up and I handed her my 4 q's for .60 off any lipton tea bags q's and she tells me they are no longer accepting q's for CLEARANCE items per the manager. The reason being is they are losing too much money and people are taking too much advantage. I told her to take them off and that he just lost that sale.
I had also asked for a flyer for the following week late Saturday night when I was told by the manager that they hadn't received them yet when he was actually standing right next to the box with the flyers in it. I found out later from another cashier the mngr.said they may not give them out early anymore. The guy is an ididot. He is losing money because the store is not that busy anymore, and it has slowed down considerably more since WAGS got rid of the coupon/rebate book.

That is crazy they won't accept coupons for clearance, it's CLEARANCE! You would think that they would want to move the products off the shelf, hence putting them on clearance. I would email corporate on that one!

Wags is the biggest Pharmacy in USA and is surely a profitable one. They did not use Q on clearance items from me as well a couple of times as well. Perhaps those tea bags will be grabbed before long even without Qs. 0.80 per box is a very good price. My lowest purchase on 100 count Lipton tea bags has been 1.20 with MQ. And we consume these tea bags a lot almost 6-8 box's a month.

besides they get reimbursed for the coupon like cash so what is the big deal? verbatim what my Wags manager said

I agree. If it is a store item then you can use a q on it, clearance or not. I am so sick of these stores making up individual policies and then "apologize" after you have called corporate on their butts. Whateva. Just stand there and ask for corporate number and call while standing there. You might get the ole "just this time" response. Gotta love those..lol

They always let me use Q's on clearance items. WTH is up with your WAGS! I hope you get somewhere with corp!
