Question on Purex Deal Help Please
Wags has Purex at B1G1 free. I bought the liquid detergent at 8.99 and got the new 3 in 1 detergent to dryer sheet. I used a .25 cent MQ on the liquid detergent and had a 2.00 MQ on the 3 in 1 product. First they did not give me the 3 in 1 detergent free as it should have been. So I spoke with the manager. After a couple of minutes she finally decided that I should have gotten that free as it states in the ad. But, they charged me 6.99 for it and since I used a 2 off MQ she could only give me a 4.99 refund. Is this right? I did buy other things (about 20.00 worth). I think I should have gotten it for free (it should have rung up correctly the first time) and my 2.00 off the entire order.

It seems to me that if they had rung it up correctly the first time, you'd have been charged $8.99 for the first one and $0 for the second one. Then they would have taken your $.25 and $2 Qs off the entire order.

No, that isn't right. She should've given you your $2 q back if she wanted to do it that way. They will be getting the $2 back from the manufacturer.

That's exactly what I think too, Angie. They made the $2 on this deal, and new2qs didn't save what she should have. If they kept the $2 Q, then they should have given her the full price for that item back.

Thats what I thought. I was kind of arguing with the manager, but she would not see it my way. I should have just given it back to her right then. Well, I guess that's Walgreens for you Thanks to all for your input! It is really great to have a site like this. I am going to bring it back now and tell them to forget it.

I thought with a BOGO sale (or using a BOGO coupon) you always had to buy two of the very same product and size to get the second one free.
It doesn't sound like you did this. Also, none of my stores will let me use two Q's on a BOGO sale. They say the second one is free so you can't take anything off free, can you. Of course IF they range it up for each as half price, they would but then it wouldn't be BOGO. I wanted to.................

This deal was buy two of the same brand. I made sure that I bought exactly what they showed in the picture of the ad. I guess that makes sense too that you would not be able to use a Q on a B1G1 b/c the second items is free........ We shall see. I wrote to corporate tonight also.

Publix, WAGS and CVS all will take 2 Qs when you purchases 2 items as BOGO, even though the 2nd one is free. Like New2qs said, these were both Purex items, and they were pictured together. I guess the argument could be made that you had to buy 2 of the same, but I would have thought if I bought one Purex laundry detergent for $8.99, I could have gotten the 2nd Purex laundry detergent for free - that's the way the ad displayed it. Since you are dissatisfied, I believe I'd take the 2 back (make sure you have your first receipt) and ask for a refund. Since they can't give you back your Qs, they might give you the $8.99 plus tax back - who knows. Then I'd make the BOGO purchase in another WAGS if you want the detergent.

Unless they gave you the Q back, then they have to give you back full price. Like stated earlier, they are making $2 off the Q b/c they kept it. I have had this issue w/ other retailers and they do the same thing. Refund the full price when they don't return the Q.

I did this deal yesterday and upon review of my receipt, this is what I saw.
They charged $6.99 for the first Purex (which makes no sense--one would think it would ring at either full price or half price but not some weird 2/3 price) and the second rang at $2.00. I used two $4 coupons, so I paid $2.50 for each one.
Walgreens is really annoying me lately. I hate how fast their RR's expire, our HT will no longer accept them, and their deals are so weird sometimes.
On the other hand, I also got Dawn dish detergent for .25 cents so I can't complain all that much and their deal on Pepsi was great this week so again, I should stop complaining.
Also, call me stupid, but I finally figured out that the Dawn dish detergent in the daggone picture wasn't the only one you could purchase for .99 cents. Everytime I go, that whole thing is wiped out but the other $1.99 ones (that I would want more anyway) are still there. I asked the manager about it yesterday and he looked at me like I was nuts and told me that they would all ring up at the .99 cent price with the WAGS coupon. So I tried it and it worked.
Instead of the plain jane soap, I got the antibacterial with orange scent and was pretty happy about it--though I'm still kicking myself for being such an IDIOT.
