Notify them again or contact corporate. Where she said that you did not pay that part is correct, but she is forgetting that Walgreens will be paid the $1 plus .08 for handling that coupon. Since you can't get the coupon back and lost the purchase value of the coupon ($1), you are entitled to recoup that loss. Walgreens is out nothing as they will make their money from the manufacturer. Manager needs to check within the Walgreens intranet and see what their return policy states which is if an item purchased w/a mfg q is returned, the customer will get the retail price of the item.

It wouldn't hurt to drop corp. a friendly email but have you tried talking to the store manager yet? I always try talking to the actual store manager first before I call higher up. Just call and ask a general questoin like "I was wondering what your policy is when returning items purchased with coupons?" Don't call the other manager out.... yet. If your not happy with his/her answer then I would email corp.

Red face Coupon policies

Well done! I'm keeping all the policies in a separate folder - it's confusing at best.

Default If it were't for bad luck... I'd have no luck at all

This is only somewhat true..hehe
I went to walgreens today to try to do the ecotrin thing... No Go- the cashier wouldn't do it stating that they can not alter the coupon amount nor can they alter the price of the item.
I came home and found this post... Ah ha!!
So I called and spoke to the manager and she told me the same thing that the cashier said... so I'm back were I started??
I'm finding the all this frustrating!!
Oh ask me about last week when I almost spent 62.00 on toilet paper I thought was .47 cents.
But hey I did save alot on my car insurance this week, and 51% at safeway today (my best so far)
Sweatinitout- tryin to figure it all out

politely tell the manager that every time you call walgreens corporate, they tell you they are supposed to adjust the coupon price. would he/she please call corporate and ask the exact same question as it seems wrong they would tell a customer and the employees different things. i did this in the store one time. the manager came back not 5 mintues later and told the cashier to adjust the coupon price. not had a problem in that store since with that issue.

I work at walgreens and theres no way you can make a manufacture coupon equal to the price of a product if the coupon is more....you either buy something of that price or more...
