Thanks for giving us this information. After reading some of the Walgreen disaster stories I have been almost afraid to go back.

I tried this last week with Ritz cracker deal - B1G1. Coupon was $2.00 and crackers were $1.99. I tried to tell the manager he just needed to adjust the price of the item and he said THAT was coupon fraud. I ended up leaving with nothing.

Now you should take that Q to CVS next week and give them your business instead. And I bet they will happily give you your free Ritz. (Unlike the last sale, though, there is a limit of 10 this time!)

Hi,

I wish I could, but unfortunately we don't have CVS out here. Seems like they are easy to work with.

Email corporate. At one WAGS in Tacoma this week, they wouldn't adjust an item to make it free after q. I had the manager come over and he told me he couldn't do it because he "couldn't sell stuff for free." I emailed Corp and got a call back a few days later from a higher-up mgr apologizing and invited me back to the store.

So........pls, email corp. The more we couponers speak up, the easier it will be for all of us.

That's funny. You should ask the manager how adjusting the price of the ITEM is COUPON FRAUD. Am I wrong, but adjusting the price of the q would be considered coupon fraud, not the price of the item.

Unhappy Spoke to Manager ....sad day coming

Here it is. Walgreens is adjusting the Easy Saver catalog soon. According to a regional manager this AM..3/17/2009, I called because one of the employees would not let me use the manufacturers coupon and the easy saver because it was 1 penny over. She was supposed to adjust the coupon, however the Easy Saver coupons are often Manufacturer coupons and will soon reflect this in the catalogs. Man, that was the only reason I shopped Walgreens. The prices are too high most of the time.

Hey they are making a profit off of our coupon cutting! On a side note some of the CVS stores in Massachusetts accept expired manufacturers coupons. Somehow I think you all know that. I am always impressed with everyone's coupon knowledge!
retailers recieve money plus because of handling issues-from store , to corporate to mfgr. if the mfgr did not pay for stores to accept coupons it would be too much of a hassle and not worth it for stores to do so.
