Default Wal-Mart Lines

I cannot even bring myself to try couponing at Wally World. Every time I go in there the lines are ridiculous. Then if I do not catch a pricing error right at the register and have to go to customer service then there's that huge line. I tried to beat the problem by using self check out which allows me to scan my coupons but even that turned into a headache because some would not scan and had to get the manager over there anyway. I love Target and Albertson's policy...if three people in line they get more checkers up there. But, I must admit...OTC meds and off brand spices, baking stuff, prices are hard to beat.

The Walmart by me take IP Qs as long as they scan. Good news for me, although, the coupon list does not match up at all with what I find in "my" store.

I am always ill-prepared to shop there usually as a result, as such, I rarely go. No loss since I usually end up buying something I don't need anyway.

I rarely plan for Walmart. I just go with my binder and browse the aisles. Too often I go in with stuff in mind and they are out... or I just can't find it.

So I take my binder and as I see a deal that I have a coupon for... I transfer it to my envelope of coupons I'm going to hand the cashier.

works pretty well.

This is what happens to me every time.

I am just so used to having a list. That and the Walmart by me is generally disorganized so I don't like to wander around it wasting time when I probably won't find anything. So some days are better than others at Wally World.

The Walmart and Target stores by my house does not take the printed internet coupons. At least Target did post it one their front door. I wrote a letter to Wal-mart head quarters and the store manager called me. She said they are not aloud to accept the internet coupons anymore. I told her they should post this to let their customers know. She told me they are not a loud to post it.

When I first read this, I thought that is one rude store manager thinking she was yelling at you NO INTERNET COUPONS!.

So I know some of you ladies have had problems and brought in Walmart coupon policy in an effort to fix the problem. Has that helped? It seems that although there is a corporate policy, each store is still allowed to exempt themselves and dictate their own rules.

My WM takes internet coupons no problem. I have found that most coupons won't scan automatically but if they hold their thumb over the right side of the bar code then they scan just fine. I think there may be 2 bar codes on most of the internet coupons. If they just cover one with their thumb they scan right up.

I think I'd cry if my WM stopped taking IP's.

I use internet coupons all the time at our local WM with no problem. They even do them manually if they don't scan without me asking them to. They rarely even ask me to show them the item to prove I have the qualifying purchase.

However, I sent some to my mom in NC (Hillsborough WM) and they told her they had just stopped taking them because someone had stolen a lot of money from them the week before using fraudulent ones. Bummer for her as she had never used them before and would have started printing off her own after that if it had worked out easily for her.

It is most definitely a local thing; however, I am confused on one thing. Why does WM bother to put a corporate policy on their website if the stores don't have to abide by it? I would think that if it's right there in print on their website, they would either have to abide by it when a customer points it out as otherwise it would be false advertising. Or they would have to post the corrections where customers can plainly see it so they will know going in that this store is different.

I'm confusled, is there a section just for Walmart coupons? I looked and looked, but can't seem to find them. Maybe it's just my ADHD kicking in?
