I was curious if anyone knew any information on how Black Friday is going to be handled at Walmart this year? Rumor in my area is that due to the death of a customer last year Walmart will now be putting coupons in their ads and you can only get an item that is on sale for Black Friday with that particular coupon. I don't know if this is just a rumor and nothing more. Also does anyone know when the time will be this year for them to open the skids? I know the ads aren't out yet but I know I'll end up going. I have every year. Thanks for any information!
I just received the actual Wal-Mart BF ad in the mail.
The door buster sales will be 5 a.m until 11 a.m.
There will also be Friday/Saturday specials.
No, there are not any coupons in the physical ad.

You can go online at walmart.com and type in the zip code for your store somewhere, haven't done it yet! Anyways, a map of your store will come up with a key on where to find certain black friday deals. I don't know if this is new but I though it was nice my husband and I can split up and know exactly where to go for the 2 things we saw on in the ad, then get outta there and go somewhere else!

Thanks! I normally get a Walmart ad in the mail but have yet to get it. I hope I get it so I can make a gameplan. The last cpl of years I have been taking my husband and 2 of his friends so I can plant them throughout the stores on black friday. They are troopers. lol!
I went to WalMart.com today and the map is up. You can see what you want to buy and it will tell you where to find it in the store. Pretty neat! You just have to put in your zip code.
I was hoping to get the Sony $79 digital camera... Do you think that'll be the kind of thing that you need to line up for hours for? Really don't want to do that... Was thinking of getting there around 430am.
Thoughts from veterans?

i just got inside info from an employee at walmart saying that most electronics and high demand items will be available online for the sale price at 4 am. i don't know if this helps anyone or not but sounds better than having to fight for it at the store. also some items i have already looked at online and they are already on sale. like the barbie jeep and some of the toys you can already buy online at the sale price. thank God i don't have to go now!
oh and those cameras u dont necessarily have to wait in line. what i always do for electronics is get there early stand by the skid and grab when they tell you its time. but last year our walmart just let us pile our stuff up beside the skids so all we had to do was go around grabbing stuff we wanted and stash it by another skid until it was time.
Hello,
Walmart is doing thing's different this year. They are giving out ticket's for all seperate line's. No going to the display and grabbing what you want and it is 1 big ticket item per person( my sis works there)
