Default Here is my funny storry

So i go to walmart on Sunday or saturday anyways, i have a cart full of stuff, and have read the posts about walmart not being super coupon friendly, so i put on my big girl face, and get my stuff, go to the check out line.
Here is what i am buying:
Chex mix x4
Penut butter
Mr. Clean sponges
milk
Cheese
and scrubbing bubbles.

Coupins on hand =
1 Safeway coupon for 2.50 a bottle for scurbbing bubbles limit 4
1 Fiesta foods coupon for 32ox cheese 3.99
1 fiesta foos coupon for .99 a gallon for milk
4 target web coupons for $1.00 off any chex mix.
plus some manf coupons for all of the above.
i had a few other things in my cart as well, but cant specifically recall what they were for.
So the lady does the first set of coupons, and the scurbbing bubbles mr clean, cheese and milk all go through fine.
Well then i want her to price match the chex mix from a store down the road, which would make them 2/$3 (no problem)
well then she goes to do the target coupons for $1.00 off, and she tries to scan them with her scanner. (and what do ya know... They dont scan)
she says, i cant accept these because they dont scan.
I say, well that is because they are Target coupons
she says : well i cant accpet them because we dont take other store coupons.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!
I said, you just took 3 other coupons from me from different stores, what is the difference between those ones and the target ones?
well they dont scan so i am not supplsed to accept them.
HELLO... earth to ms. cashier lady... THEY ARE T A R G E T coupons.
she mubles.. i dont think i am supposed to accpet these, but i will do it this ones.

I got out of the door spending $15.00 which was like a dollar per item, (not bad considering i got cheese and a few other high dollar items)

I can rarely get those target coupons to scan at target. They usually have to manually enter the numbers. I can imagine the problem she was having.

My Walmart does not accept coupons from other stores. They will only price match another store if you have the ad with you.

But thier coupon policy states they do accept competior coupons, just not sure if Target is considered a competitor unless you have a SuperTarget in town.

My super WM does not accept Q's for other stores...EV-ER. We only have Dillon's (Kroger) and a regular Target.

According to the official Walmart Coupon Policy:
Quote:
Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
Free merchandise (or manufacturer's Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
Store coupons
Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
Internet coupons
Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:

Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
Only one coupon per item is permitted.
Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.
Store coupons are part of the list- however, it doesn't specify store coupons from other stores. It also says internet coupons (which I interpret the target ones to be) must have "a valid remit address and a scannable bar code"- which your target ones didn't have. I have never gotten a Target IP to work at Walmart, and haven't raised a fuss because I can see how it could be interpreted as invalid. (which is too bad because I could have scored a ton of free travel axe shampoo that way a while ago- and trust me, I tried every time I went in)

My understanding is store coupons means Walmart's store coupons as there are a few that show up in the All-you mag for Walmart only....not other stores coupons....

My Walmart has never accepted my other store coupons.
