I went through this earlier this year with the "store coupons" thing. Waaay back in Feb I made a post about that: "I used a Neutrogena one that was marked "Kmart" on it at WM and the cashier never said a thing. I thought WM accepted other stores' coupons but after discussing it with a manager on the phone he said WM doesn't take other stores' coupons." I was confused about the "Store coupons" thing in their policy.

I dont really care to shop at walmart, however ever since Albertsons, stopped taking other peoples coupons, that was one of Walmarts big thing was, we accept other store's coupons. And i have never had any problems with them accepting them, until i tried the target coupon. That is what the lady did not like. I went back a few days later, and bought some Penut Butter using, the .75/2 that was in the paper and 2 target printable coupons for $1.00 off, and the cashier lady had no problem with it.
I hope that i am not doing something wrong, by doing it that way, but in my little mind, saying that you accept all competitors coupons, means ALL of them, not just the ones you randomly select.

If i go in right about 6pm, my favorite cashier man is in there, and he usually just gives me the coupons back (esp. if its for milk or something) and i go on my little merry way. I think the lady just didnt like that i was saving so much money.
I need to go back in again early in the morning and see if the Clearence price marker guy is there, and get some more chocolate chips, because no i have coupons for them . YMMV at every walmart, but since Target is accorss the street, i dont know why they make a big stink about it. Just an FYI to everyone, BBQ chex mix, is horrible. At least i think it is, i called and complained about it, so they are sending me a coupon for a free bag.

I'm curious as to what part of the country you're in because I think you've been veeeeeery lucky to have been using competitors' coupons at Walmart. I've been to a lot of different Walmarts in different parts of the U.S. and NEVER have I been able to use them. I would not interpret their policy as 'accepting competitors' coupons'...just my opinion and experience.

I am located in Kennewick, Washington. (this is the desert part of Washington State) Located about 30 minutes from the oregon Boarder.

I did try to price match Hermiston, OR to Kennewick, WA (just cause Hermiston has no Sales Tax) and they said they were not in compition with the Kennewick, walmart. (i wanted to lean over to the lady and say... Yea right, is that why oregonians, come to washington to shop???)
