Red face Wait....I WAS wrong...

Well, I guess it finally happened, I was wrong about something, please don't tell my husband, it would ruin everything..

My sister called 1-800-WALMART over the price match + MQ and they told
her that the manager was right, they DON'T price match and accept MQ's
on top of it!!!

She pointed out the fact that Walmart gets reimbursed for the coupon plus a handling fee and it should have nothing to do with a price match! The customer service rep said yes, they realize that, but that's their policy!
My sister asked if other people have complained about that absurd policy and they said yes, it's going to the higher-ups right now. So maybe if more people call and complain.....

so WM matches sale prices from elsewhere? is that ad prices or just ad coupons?

i wonder if its becasue they probably have to manually put the item in, and then i bet their computer wouldn't recognize that the item was actually bought... i could see that causing problems.

Walmart price matches other stores sale prices. In this case, it was a box of Pampers, sale price at Target was $16.99. They matched the sale price, but it is not their policy
to accept MQ's on top of that price match. We just felt that was silly because had she been at Target, she would have been able to use the MQ on top of the price match, no problem!
I don't know if Walmart takes/matches competitors coupons.

That's sounds crazy to me. I have price matched and used Q's on numerous occasions at my walmart with no problems. as far as scanning the item, they do scan the item, then change the price. I've never had a coupon beep and before I ever did this I asked the manager who told me it was their policy.
Is this a new change?

I find that parking in the back near the auto repair area eliminates a lot of ppl/anxiety/lines (I pay there or in electronics)....course I dont buy a lot of stuff there so I dont have some huge cartload, but still, I never lose my car in the parking lot LOL

My sister sent me her $3 off coupon for the bacon and I went to Walmart @ 5:30. The bacon was 2.58. My only question is, doesn't Walmart get the full $3 back even though they took it off only for 2.58?

Carey P--
I believe Walmart does send it back for the whole $3.00. Unless they wrote on the coupon then & there "only redeemed for $2.58" who would ever know that they took less off? I can't see a store doing that. I have heard someone say Target did that once, because their policy is to adjust the coupon down to the item's price if you will end up getting the item free, but I'm pretty sure most stores just adjust the coupon down and keep the overage.

I was at WM yesterday using the .55/1 Reese's Q. The young cashier did not know how to ring up the Q because the product was only .50.

I ask to see the manager of the cashiers. This punk, complete with spike hair, rolled his eyes and said "Sir, you cannot use these on a product that costs less than the coupon."

I asked to see his manager, and then the friendliest assistant manager stepped in and fixed the whole problem!!!!!
