Default comping prices and using coupons.

I had my sales paper in hand, showing the check out clerk what I wanted to comp, and my q's on the items. The check out girl said " I don't see anything." I said you don't see any what? Her reply was "I don't see anything." Does anyone know what she's talking about?

Are you not suppose to use q's on the items you comp? I've did it before without any problems.

I don't understand what she "didn't see" either!

There should have been no problem using coupons on the comped items. Were you unable to use them? If so, I would call the CS manager and ask what the store policy is and if you could have used them go back and give them your coupons!!!

I have used comp prices with q's before with no problems. My manager told me that it was fine. I asked her before I tried it though. I'm not sure what she "didn't" see either.

I did use my coupons on the items that I comped. I guess it will remain a mystery.

Default "Meet My Friend...the Sharpie Pen!!"

Hi LeighBo....

Here's a handy tip to help you out the next time you are at Wal-Mart. To make absolute certain that the cashiers easily see what items are being comp'd....I use a sharpie pen to circle the items that I am definitely going to buy....In addition...I will also circle the AD DATES on the cover...so these can easily be found.

In regards to your specific question....I've never had a problem using coupons on a comp'd ad. HTH.

Good idea with the sharpie pen. Looks like I'm picking one up (anyone know where they're cheap...this is the time of year to look...) for my coupon basket.

Default re: comp?

I think that means "competitor price". I carry grocery store, walgreen's, Target, every sale ad I can find. I have never had a problem getting comp price and using my coupons. The other day I got a $5.99 18oz bottle of Olay Body Ribbons wash for Competitor's price of $2.99 and used a $2 Q!
