Talking Love these Deals

My daughter and I just got back from our little shopping trip this morning.
We stopped and picked up our food from Angel Food Ministries (this is a great deal by the way)

We stopped at Food Pyramid (they double Q up to .50)
They had Folgers Coffee on sale for $5.88 - .25 Q (doubled)
my coffee cost $5.38 (before taxes) and at walmart the same can was over $7 (and they don't double the Q)

Then we went to Walmart I got:
2 J&J Buddy Bars of Soap .97 each - $1.00 Q = made .02
2 Suave Shampoo's .69 each - $1.00 Q = made .62
2 Suave Conditioners .69 each - $ 1.00 Qs = made .62
1 Suave Deoderant .69 - $1.00 Q = made .31
Del Monte Fruit Cocktail $1.90 - $1.00 Q = .90
Cards 1.00 (for my son in Iraq)
cost me $.33

I didn't know Walmart let you use coupons if they exceeded the price of the item. Ours beeps and the clerks tend to freak out. Even if something is $.99 and you have $1q they won't eat that penny. I've got into an arguement about free catfood that I was gonna give to a shelter, and she just made me feel like a criminal for wanting something free. That was a year ago and I just don't even bother with it anymore.

Wow!!! My walmart has their prices so high that using the coupons don't help a whole lot. And they will mark something down .50 and try to make ya think that you are getting a great deal.

Don't get me started on this one!! I was just telling DH last week that WM will put up their "Rollback" flags all down the aisles and then when you look closely you are actually only saving $.04 on the item! Now where's the "rollback" there? Granted, they are for the most part cheaper than smaller grocery stores, but I do understand your frustration on their obviously powerful marketing plan! I must admit I was hooked into that before using couponmom and getting the real deals!

Dear Husband (in my case) Some others don't substitute the dear with something else but I always read it as Dear. I couldnt imagine calling mine anything less.
