Target Trip 4/28/12

I'm so glad my Target now has a grocery section! This is my trip today, this is how I usually shop.

4 Gold N Plump drumsticks 8pks $2.99ea, all had $1 Target peelies on them, plus I used 4 $1.50 manu IPs= $0.49ea
1 93% lean ground beef $4.49, used $2 Target peelie= $2.49
8 Market Pantry 6ct cinnamon applesauce $1.52ea (my girls eat these in their school lunches every day!)
1 Market Pantry huge jar cinnamon applesauce $1.69 (for home use)
1 Market Pantry bagel 6ct $1.24 (for DD7 with me)
1 doz eggs $1.89, used Free product coupon I got by mail= Free
Used $3 off $25 Target grocery Cat (new remodel at our store so I get these every trip, which is why I bought the applesauce to get over $25 to use)

Paid $16.54 OOP
Savings of $16.89, or 50%

The applesauce alone would have been $14, so the meat was free/cheap.

What a great trip. I'll have to try the Market Pantry applesauce. We go through lots of applesauce here and usually buy Mott's. Today, on price drop, a 48 ounce jar of Mott's was $1.99 at Meijer. It's usually $2.29. So $1.69 for Market Pantry is a much better price. The Indian Summer applesauce is good, too, and it doesn't have any high fructose corn syrup. Once in a while I get a good deal on it.

I wish I had made a lot more trips to Meijer when the big Motts applesauce and apple juice sale happened a few months ago. I just used the last of my stockpile of both and originally thought they would last for summer. I always think I have "more than enough". Who am I kidding?
