Target NOT PRICE MATCHING TIME LIMITED SALES

Went to do alphabet pal this morning, cs. told me they are not price matching "time limited sales". I guess this means they aren't price matching any sales as they are ALL TIME LIMITED> Although they did tell me about coupon in their toy catalog. I suspect this is BECAUSE of the additional coupon in their toy catalog. I don't think I'll Christmas shop there as they change their policy willy nilly because they decide it's to good a deal . The policy is unreliable can you imagine::black friday shopping there thinking you can price match. to get in line and be told indiscriminately they won't price match. Then you've wasted your time and maybe even other door-buster limited time sales or just not able to get the items because they are gone because you were in their store???

I priced matched toys at Target yesterday with the Toys R Us ad with no problem. I had to take them to customer service to do it. I asked the cs person what are you going to do on black friday, she said each ckeck out will do it that day.

This appeared on line today, i am almost cetain this was printed after the alphabet pal situation they had on their hands, and the many complaints it generated.IE" they refusing to honor the old policy before this was made publicy available on line.

This is a big thing!! Seems like they didn't know what to do yesterday with the TRU ad. I was able to get one and no problem at all. I went with a friend and will do it in another Target, and told us that they are not doing it. Called corporate and told us they are not doing it and that they WILL change their policy soon.. lol. we told him, but it's not in policy right now and that they will change it because of today. He said yes, but still can't give us the deal. Huh! I guess, they were not really prepared on this one!

i actually did this deal last night with my sister. she had called yesterday morning and waited on hold for 15 mins. she was told to come on down and they would price match the "inch worm" as they were calling it. my sister fortunately was intelligent enough to get the girls name and the managers name who had approved it. we went several hours later, apparently after the big meeting about how they would now not be price matching the door busters etc. after several minutes of being treated like we were ripping them off, and listening to "allegedly these customers called and spoke to so and so"...we got the approval (based on the fact that we were given a YES and had names of employees, clearly we didnt pull out of thin air!)- we walked out paying 5.67 for: 4 leapfrog letter pals, 2 santa spud potato heads, and 2 packs of target up&up wipes. WOO!!!

The way I read their policy is that they are not honoring time-limited deals such as doorbuster deals (Ex: 8-12 on a certain day), but I don't think regular ads in the sales flyers would be a time limited deal or there would be nothing to price match. I was able to price match this weekend with no problems.
