I searched around and bought a Samsung Laser wireless printer that only prints black. I watched the sales ads for a few weeks and found it at OfficeMax on sale for about $59. The black toner cartridge is about $60 but it prints 5000 copies. I also use the print mode to save the most ink. I went almost a year on the last toner cartridge I bought. I print lots of coupons but mainly just the ones I know I will use. I prefer laser printers over ink jets any day. Just my 2 cents worth others may disagree.

I had used an HP inkjet printer before that and it was so expensive because you had to have both the color and the black cartridge in order for it to print. I tried refilling a couple of times but it didn't seem to last as long as the original cartridge. It was about $40-50 every 3 months or so for ink.

I'm so sorry your paper costs $3.00. I don't understand why some papers are three to six times as expensive as others. Mine just went up from $2.00 to $2.50, and often it is not worth it to me. This week it will be worth it, though.
