I handed my carrier my box Saturday. She told me she had not received much. She told me it was on TV but lots of people just fast forward through commercials with DVR's. Maybe more online promotions would help... a lot of people I know had not even heard about it!
Can always use cheese, high fiber product, soup and razor Q's

There should have been signs in all of the Post Offices as well as the reminders and bags IN ADVANCE....not just 2 days before. Many people only shop once a week and did not plan/prepare for it.
I have friends that said they didn't have much to give so they didn't leave bags out......that to me is an excuse!

I have to agree with you there, Curtice. Unfortunately the Postal Service does not always cooperate with the union. The drive is put on by the National assoc of Letter carriers. We didn't have enough post cards to go around at every staion, and I've never known us to distribute bags here. Anyway, I'll find out in a few days what the final tally of food was and post it..

Just a quick update. Our office collected 7000 pounds of food. Our city as a whole collected 150,000 pounds. This is way down from last year and even more from the year before. The need is great and I thank you all again for your contributions.
