    Default Shop Rite

I live in upstate New York in the boonies and live a half hour from Shop Rite and Rite Aide. There is another Shop Rite in the opposite direction from us but that one is much smaller and is dirty. I am new at this and with the help of my sister, who is collecting coupons for me also, I have a lot of RP and S coupons. The RP and S coupons I have are from 10/12 to present. I noticed that this week in order to get the big savings, you need the coupons from August and September. I also try to stick to items we use and not purchase extras we really don't need even though it may be a good deal. I think that if its not something I need, its still money spent I shouldn't have spent. I am just wondering how much each of you are saving at Shop Rite each week. I am averaging $15 to $30 dollars savings, including price plus.

    Hello, fellow ShopRiter.

I am not saving a lot (yet, of course), as we don't have a car and our SR does not deliver mere three subway stops away. But, every time I swing by the store, I try to get the stuff we use, as you mentioned, and usually my oop is about two times lower than the usual retail price, SR's own sales and q's (both from inserts and e-coupons) combined. For instance, this week SR had Near East products on sale, regular price being 1.99, special price 0.99, e-coupon 0. 50, so the final price fir a box of rice was 0.49, which is not that bad considering the original retail price.

    M Lexx,

My Shop-Rite doubles coupons and I think it's a store policy so I think you should check that out. I got the Rice deal a few weeks ago but because they doubled the coupons, I got them for free.

I am going to start an excel document that lists all of Shop Rites sale items. I am having a hard time figuring out if it really is a sale item or not. I always thought that the sales flier was the lowest price but now realizing that 10 cents off is considered a sale but not a good sale. Have any of you started doing this?

Unfortunately, ours does not double or triple any coupons, I had several conversations with their staff on and off the record but they won't budge. Soooo disappointing.

My Shop Rite doubles up to 99 cents. Was there anything in the Shop Rite flier this week that you feel is a great buy?

M_Lexx - We live in CT and I don't have a clue where you are in NY but I went to Shop Rite's website, clicked on Kingston NY's store, and it shows their flyer "Double Manufacture Coupon" as does ours. Ours doubles up to .99c. I love the .75c coupons = $1.50! They often have a few great deal to stock up on. I use the shop on line just to compare current prices.
