Default Multiple Qs for one item?

I went to SR today and I'm confused by the receipt. It looks like they took 3 WW coupons for 3 items like this:
I bought 3 boxes of WW cakes. They applied a coupon for "buy two boxes get $1 off" and two Qs for ".55 off" (and they doubled both the .55 qs) I'm not sure how this happened.

Does this mean that, in theory I could give them 3 .55 qs for 3 boxes, and the $1 off two q as well?

My head was swimming with qs and savings by the time I check out...this is my biggest trip yet on this saving adventure. So I'm not sure if I'm reading the receipt right.

not that im saying this is right.. but from my experience they dont really care.. it depends on who is checking you out. I know im going to get yelled at but i have used a coupon for a different item then on the coupon but same brand and havent had any problems. I have also used two coupons per item once before

I think we're going to be seeing changes at ShopRite in the not-too-distant future. Previously, they were not concerned about doubling coupons even when they say "do not double". I always believed this was because it was a store policy to double - that it had nothing to do with the manufacturer and that was why their registers doubled everything under $1.

Now, on 2 separate occasions I have had a cashier and a clerk at the customer service express check out ring me up (the customer service desk was not my choice, I wanted to use the self-checkout but she told me it was closed and that I should check-out with her) and they prevented the coupons that say "do not double" from doubling.

My first experience was a few weeks ago and that cashier had to make a manual adjustment (i.e. reverse the double) but earlier this week when I checked out at the express customer service station, the girl just hit a key before scanning my coupon and it prevented the doubling....so that's why I believe (my personal opinion) that changes are coming.

I just wish they would be consistent because if it is a store policy to offer the coupon doubling (EVERY coupon says "manufacturer will re-imburse retailer FACE VALUE plus postage) then why would they care about the ones that say "do not double" - when they only ever get face value on all of them? I find it very confusing....
