I don't have Shaws here in CA, but I did see a matchup somewhere (sorry, you have to find your own coupons, I didn't include links either..I just don't have too much extra time today ), so here it is, maybe this can help someone??.........Have fun shopping, wish we had a store that did such great deals here, lucky people!!!.

Catalina FUN at Shaws again this week!! WOO HOO!!

Get your printers geared up and gather your pre-sale prices and get ready to roll!

BUY $30, get a $15 catalina.

* It will use PRE-SALE prices (psp) to calculate the $30 - so make sure you check your shelf prices. I will list mine for reference, but make sure you know yours!
* IT DOES DOUBLE, it may triple, but hold tight for now!
* ALSO, be nice to others - DO NOT CLEAR THE SHELVES - especially on the first couple days!
Insert coupon values vary by region!! You may have the same coupon, but different value - $0.50/1 vs $1/2 for example.
* Cashiers are being more diligent and undoubling coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE. That is fine, they are not supposed to double and sometimes the computer does it anyway. I will try to do the scenarios based on them not doubling, but be aware that some might anyway.

Shedd’s Country Crock Spread 45 oz ($4.99)
- $0.50/1 Country Crock (will double!) Scroll to btm of page, should see the printable

There are so many scenarios I do not know where to start...
Try to mix up what you are getting to ensure inventory and flexibility. Also keep in mind that I believe Shaws limits you to 6 of any one coupon.

HERE is one GOOD Scenario:
4 Hellmans Mayo (17.16 psp) $11.96
4 Scott paper towels (8.36) $3.96
3 Knorr PASTA (5.37) $2.97
total = ($30.89) $18.89
- $2 using 2 $1/2 Shaws Hellmans
- $2 using 2 $1/2 Helmanns printable
- $1 using $1/4 Scott
- $1/3 Knorr pasta
final = $12.89 and get $15 catalina = $2.11 moneymaker

2 Wishbone Bountifuls (6.98) $3.98
2 Cocoa Puffs (6.58) 3.76
2 Cheerios ($5.98) $3.98
2 Breyers (11.98) 5.98
total = (31.52) $17.70
- $3 using 2 $0.75/1 Wishbone that double
-$1/2 Cocoa puffs
- $2.20 using 2 $0.55/1 cheerios that MAY double - may not...
- $1/2 Breyers
final = $10.50 and get $15 = $4.50 moneymaker (if cheerios does not double, $3.40 moneymaker)

Getting tired, so am condensing...
4 Scott (8.36) 3.96 - 1/4 scott = $2.96
2 Breyers (11.98) 5.98 - $1/2 Breyers = $4.98
4 Cake mix (8.76) 3.96
1 Lipton soup mix (1.89) $0.99
Total (30.99) $12.89 and get $15

2 Breyers (11.98) 5.98 - $1/2 breyers = $4.98
2 hellmans (8.58) $5.98 - $1/2 shaws - $1/2 Helmanns = $3.98
4 Scott (8.36) 3.96 - 1/4 Scott = $2.96
1 Green Giant asparagas (2.29) 0.99
total (31.21) $12.91 and get $15

NOW we will have to see if you can double it - meaning buy $60 get 2 $15 cats - that is what has happened in the past. if so, it will be AWSEOME!!

If you are planning on rolling your catalinas, work scenarios so your out of pocket will be at least $15. All of the above are less than $15, so either add in fillers - other stuff you need - OR work scenarios that use less coupons or savings. There are so many I could go on all afternoon.

* 3 Knorr Rice (5.07) 2.97 - $1/3 = $1.97
* 8 Scott papertowels (they had plenty and my coupons required I take by groups of 4)(16.72) 7.92 - $2 using 2 $1/4 = $5.92
* 1 Progresso broth (2.69) 1.49 - $1 (0.50 coupon doubled)= $0.49
* 4 Wishbone Bountifuls (13.96) 7.96 - $6 using 4 $0.75/1 coupons that double = $1.96
* 2 Ragu (5.58) 3.98 - $1/2 = $2.98
* 4 Hellmans MAYO (17.16) 11.96 - $2 using 2 $1/2 Hellmans - $2 using 2 $1/2 Shaws = $7.96

total = (61.18psp) $21.28 and I got 3 $10 catalinas = $8.72 overage!

thanks for posting this. I will have to really look at this to work out a good scenario. When I'm not so tired that is!

Default Catalina deal based on pre-sale price??

I'd love to know if anyone has done the catalina deal and found that, indeed, the totals are based on "pre-sale price" as shown in the post above. Anyone got a success story?

I would also like to know if this scenario is based on presale price.

Here's my trip.

2 cheerios (with pampers Q's on them) 2.99x2=5.98
2 Betty Crocker frostings 2.19x2=4.38
1 Betty Crock cake mix 2.99
2 Progresso Bread crumbs 2x3.29=6.58
2 Pilsbury crescent rolls 2x3.49=6.98
4 Kleenex 110ct 4x1.29=5.16
subtotal $32.07

used
progresso $1/2
2 BC frosting $.50/1
2 Cheerios $.55/1
1 Pilsbury $1/2
1 kleenex $1/4

Total after sales and tax = $16.23 plus I recieved 3 $5 oyno.

My mom works at a grocery store and she said at hers you can roll this deal. Yesterday she had a woman do 3 transactions and each time she got the $15 back.

Oh my gosh, I just got back from Shaw's and cannot believe how good it was. They really are spitting out cats for shelf prices, not sale prices. So you can get your $15 back really quickly. I made sure to have them ring it up without my card first, to make sure it had reached the $30 threshold, then I gave them card, then coupons and boy was it sweet. At one transaction, I paid a mere $2.79 for like $36 worth of pre-sale groceries So Shaw's shoppers, use that shelf price and go get your cashback coupons!

Default Shaw's catalina extravaganza

OK, here's a rundown of my transactions:

8 Progresso soups $2.50 each (really on sale for $1.49) use 2 x $1/4 q
2 Breyer ice creams ridiculously priced at $5.29 each but on sale for $2.99, use $1/2 q

the sale price shows once you give your card; total $14.90 after q's
GET $15 catalina back

2nd transaction:
2 x Fresh Express salad blends $2 each less $1/2 MQ
2 Cherry tomatoes $3.99 BOBO use $1/2 q
1 x bottom round roast $8.74, Shaw's $1 off beef Q plus $1 off beef WYB Mrs. Dash
2 x LaChoy sauces $ ooops bought the lite not on sale 1 x $2.19 and then the Teriyaki at $1.50 use $1/2 Q
1 Healthy Choice Mixer FREE WYB Healthy Choice frozen meals
4 x Mrs. Dash $2.50 each less $1/2 Q
2 x Healthy Choice frozen dinners $1.99 each less $1/2 Q
6 x Bird's Eye frozen veggies $1 each less $1/3 Q
Used the $15 in catalinas
Total after Q's and cats $11.39 Nice!

Please notice how healthy this little shopping transaction was! Fresh veggies/healthy frozen stuff, no sodium Mrs. Dashs, lean meats...couponing can be good for you!

3rd transaction
7 x Progresso soups shelf $2.50 but really $1.49 on sale; used $1/4 Q and $1.10/3 IP
2 x Toaster Strudels listed $2.79 each but on sale $1.99 used $1/2 Q
3 x Yoplait delights listed $3.29 ea but sale $2.49 less $1/each Q
total $15.78 after coupons, got $15 back

4th transaction:
1 x boneless chuck roast $6.83 with $2/peelie and a $1 off meat WYB Mrs. Dash (making this little nearly 2 lb roast $3.83 )
1 x bottom round steak $2.96 less $1 WYB Mrs. Dash
4 x Mrs. Dash $2.50 ea less $1/2 Q
6 x Bird's Eye Frozen veggies $1 ea less $1/3 Q

Used $15 in catalinas from above
Paid $2.79 OOP Nice!

So I paid about $44 for what would've been $104 worth of loyalty card prices. Just like I saw on Oprah months ago! Woot!
