    Default Bears August Spending

Miss me? LOL. I never started a thread last month due to the power outage messing up my mojo at the begining of the month. It was probably for the best as I spent at least $150 on the Starkist tuna deal at Giant Eagle last month (but I will have free gas for a month or two). Posting all my spending here is the only way I will keep track and not shove all the receipts into the bottom of my purse. So here we go:

Another month, another thread. Here are the rules:

Kroger - Doubles to $0.99. Limit 5 like coupons per transaction
Giant Eagle - Doubles to $0.99. Limit 12 like coupons per day. Limit 2 like IPs per day.
Meijer - Doubles to $0.99. Limit 2 like coupons doubled per transaction the rest are accepted at face value.

At all stores coupons only double up to the price of the product in most circumstances. No overage allowed

Finally had time to plan a small coupon run. Problem is since I have been on vacation I didn't have many coupons. Oh well. Needed Mayo.

    Giant Eagle
    4 Ragu $1.25 - $0.60/2 MQ Db = $0.65
    2 Hellmans Mayo $3.00 - $0.70 MQ Db = $1.60
    1 Wishbone Dressing $2.00 - $0.25 MQ Db = $1.50
    7 Knorr Sides $1.00
    Tax $0.00
    Total OOP $14.30
Received $7 ONO for spending $20 on Uniliver.
I wish I had more coupons. Almost like buying the mayo and getting everything else for free anyway.

    Total for the Day $14.30
    Total for the Month $110.16

DS16B had a soccer alumni game and potluck Saturday night. Then we had a family gathering on Sunday with another potluck. Both potlucks requested finger foods Really? Make it even more difficult. DS16B wanted BBQ meatballs. So started one batch in the slow cooker Saturday morning, then they decided to cancel the potluck. Then DH decided not to go to family gathering on Sunday. We have been eating BBQ meatballs for 3 days. Argh! At least I only made one bag.

I have turned from an Extreme Couponer into a Pathetic Couponer. Coupons used today: 3.

LOL. Me too. I totally missed all the freebies at Giant Eagle this week until today. I didn't know there was a catalina with the Reach toothbrushes. I'm a flipping mess these days.

I am so pathetic I skipped the Reach because I didn't want to look for the coupons, plus I didn't really need any toothbrushes anyway. I was going to pick up a couple of free Dawn but they were OOS. Reach were probably OOS too, I just didn't look. I should have gotten a rain check for the Dawn, but had poor DS with me and didn't feel like messing with it.
