Almost came in under $100 (my goal) for the month of June. We'll see if I can do it in July.

I usually plant a fairly good sized garden each spring. This year between family issues and classes/studying I didn't think I'd have time to keep up with it so I skipped it. Maybe not such a bad decision with the drought we're having this year. My water bill would be sky high just trying to keep the plants alive. Although, nothing compares to a just picked tomato from the backyard.

There were several people buying the .99 eggs. As we are all checking our eggs for broken ones I noticed a woman getting one of the 18ct cartons for $2.19. Without clipping a single coupon she could have 24 eggs for $1.98 but instead opted for 18 eggs for $2.19. I never understand this behavior.

1. Just bring the eye shadow back to CVS with the receipt and exchange it for a different color.

2. Most people are victims of habit and just buy what they always do. I have seen large cereals on sale for $1.88 (no coupons needed) and noticed people will pick up a smaller box for almost $5.00.

It is HOT today. On my way home from the store I heard on the radio that a large traffic accident has shut down part of the power grid in the section of town I live in. Time has flown by this week. Almost missed the Meijer 10/$10 sale, today is the last day. As a rule I try to never shop at Meijer on a weekend during the day because it's just insane. The aisles are jammed full of people and shopping carts with looooong lines at the registers. But even I will brave the crowds for cheap raspberries.
