Default Now in love with save-a-lot

I havent been to a save-a-lot in years. Went in there today these are what i got.

1 Pork butt blade roast 1.49/lb came out to $6. and some change ( unbelieveable)
1 libby pumpkin bread kit w/icing makes 2 loafs Orig 6.99 had a pallet of them on sale for 1.99/ea
    1 bag onions .99
2 loafs healthy life bread , 1 day before "best buy date" marked down to .50/ea used .35/1 coupon = .15/ea (score)
1 sunmaid cinnamon raison bread "best buy date of 3/18" 2.29 had 1.00 save-a-lot coupon on them due to close exp date = 1.29

Thats all i got there but it was great , esp the bread / snack cakes area allllll the markdowns , when it gets close to the exp date they make the stuff 70-90% off and attatch store coupons to them from .50 - 1.00 off the price.

I dont need coffee at all but i would have stocked up on maxwells 11.5 oz wake up roast for 1.99/ea . I know there are $1/1 tp coupons out there somewhere would be cheap score on coffee , but im way stocked up on maxwells already
any FREE's / trial size items

**Thanks to everyone who's been excellent with trading **

I like Sav a Lot too! They have some GREAT 10/10 sales (usually things with coupons out) it's not a circular I usually look at but when I can catch the sale it is good! It's not close to us, but my husband passes one on his way to work so I send him!

Yep, I like them too, and the fact that they take coupons, unlike Aldi's. Although I've been getting my milk at Aldi's. It's been selling regularly for $1.79/gallon, any type milk. The times I've been in Sav a lot, I haven't had all my coupons, so I've missed a few specials. I just haven't had time to clip and sort.

I decided to check out the one near where I'm getting gas lately. I was impressed enough to go home and go through my qs and go back the next day. They had some items like Libby's Fruit that no other store near me carries. I got a gal. of milk for $1.49 (haven't gotten it that cheap in over 20 years). They were also beating some of the Kroger Mega deals with qs and cats. I will be making a trip every couple weeks from now on. Thanks Phil.

Also, nearby was a bread store that had good deals, 10% off on Sat. and a free loaf of bread with a $5 purchase.

My go-to store is Aldi, even with a Sav-a-lot within walking distance, LOL! I guess I should go back in and see what they have again.

I like Aldi too. I won't be switching to Sav-a-Lot for produce. Theirs was not as impressive as I like. The meat dept. did look good but I had no room for anything else. I figure if I am going that way for gas I may as well shave a few more dollars off the food budget.
