    Default Loving Walgreens

I have to say, I run hot and cold with Walgreens but the past couple of weeks Wags and I are thick as thieves. From the Tylenol Precise to the
got2be last week.......love the frees. This morning I went in to try rolling RRs. Started with $3RR, got 4 probiotics, 4 blueberry tabs (for my Mother)3 orange vitamin drink mix, 2 razors, 4 Cortaid, 2 Burts Bees cough drops. My last transaction was 3 12 pk Mt Dew cans...they had neglected to take down last weeks 3/$10 sign so I got them for $10 and paid with my last $10 RR. My favorite makeup counter girl rearranged my purchases for me to get the best value. $7 OOP plus tax.....YAY! I was especially excited to get the probiotics as I take these everyday......highly recommend them for those who have stomach or digestive issues.

I am the same way about Walgreens. I had not really been inside there since the New Year as the sales were just so-so. I went to one out-of-the-way that is coupon-unfriendly and they had 6 Tylenol Precise left. I got them and as I was passing the cosmetics counter, the lady said she could ring me up. The 6 of them totalled $32.63 with tax. I then handed her the coupons and I think she thought I handed her a grenade. She just stared at them and said she had to call a manager as the coupons were not for trial size. I said the cream and patches are pictured on the coupons (and in their own weekly ads) and this is what I was buying. The manager came over, read the coupon and said "this is one per customer". I said I had read them to make sure I was using them correctly and he said "even though it does not say that, it is implied". I then asked them to scan them and they went through with no issues. All I owed was the $2.63 tax. I then asked him why this particular store does not like coupons. He said "not many people use them". I then showed his their ad with the picture of the Tylenol Precise with the verbiage about the $5.00 coupon in the paper. He said the managers and cashiers do not have time to look at the ads or know the coupon policies??? WHAT????
I then had 3 more coupons and went to a brand-new Walgreens last night. It was like a new dawning. The store was neat, clean and stocked up. As I gave the cashier the coupons, he said "wow.....you are getting these free, that's so cool".

The one in the town I live in is very friendly...that's where I went this morning......but they're out of stock by Sunday's end, same with the one close to my work. Where my DDs live, I am able to get deals on Saturday!!! I think I may be the only Q shopper they have seen there. If I hadn't needed probiotics, I probably wouldn't have went this morning but I am glad I did.

I really like the Tylenol Precise patch BTW......don't get to hot, just soothing warm and lasts for hours. NEVER would have tried those if they weren't free....
