    Talking Walmart trip 7-30-10

So I'm kind of new to the coupon deals, I went to Walmart today and got LOTS of good free deals. I plan on donating all of the deals I got today:
I got 5 packages of disposable razors : $1.97 each
7 single use tide laundry soap: .97 each
7 travel size olay body wash: .97 each
    7 travel size pantene shampoo/cont : .97 each

had 5 coupons for razors :$3 off (they changed the amount to $1.97)
7 coupons for $1 off soap (they also changed it to .97 off)
7 olay coupons $1 off (changed cost also...)
7 shampoo coupons $1 off (and they changed the amount also)

The cashier told me I couldnt use any of the coupons bc the amounts were too much. I told her they usually just give me the overage towards the rest of my groceries. She said NOPE! Called manager, manager said to override the price per coupon for the amount of items. Well I got everything free, but I was upset at her attitude and the fact they didnt allow me to use the overage for my other items.

At least you were allowed to use them. At Target, my coupons would beep and they would not price adjust. Yay for free trial size items.

I agree that it stinks to not get overage BUT you did get the items FREE so that is better than them telling you...sorry no coupons. My walmart, I rave about a lot, does allow overage BUT another one about 1/2 mile away DOES NOT..NO EXCEPTIONS. ITs really ymmv sorry you didnt get overage but CONGRATS on the Freebies, you did great!

    Great trip.

Definitely be happy they even let you use them. I spent WAY too much time in WalMart Monday night to walk out with only some milk, as they wouldn't let me use any coupons that beeped.

It was a great trip, and very happy to have items to donate. The cashier didnt even try the coupons, we waiting a good 20 mins until "management' came to look at ALL my coupons... but i guess i can't complain bc it sounds like many of other people have has worse experiences than mine.
