okay, here goes... with a population of 7,000 on an island in Hawaii...I am limited to amazing deals like those in the mainland. There are two family owned grocery stores that both accept all type of coupons and stack with store coupons. I have always done my shopping at the bigger grocery store because of cleanliness and quality of shelf life. Well, the second store is stepping up and I come out with better savings. Here is my success at store number 2 (I have a long list) so to make it short:
I don't know much lingo yet but here goes: Reg. Price: $109.52 Sale Items: 34.93 Coupons: 5.35 Final: 69.24 This is way better than paying 100-150 a week for groceries at one store. |

That is very frustrating to be limited to two stores
Thank goodness there is some competition and you are able to save some $$.....You can get some great fresh seafood and produce right? I've never been to Hawaii but my aunt's family lived there in the 50's and my grandparents spent 6 mths there....they all loved it!

Aloha Mahealani!!
Which island do you live on? I've lived on Oahu, vacationed on Maui, and am looking forward to probably settling down on the Big Island once DD graduates from high school and I can pass Mum off to my bro. I like reading some of the local Hawaiian papers online, especially some of the columns in community papers... all talk story and talking "da kine". Aloha nui! |

Many families grow their own produce, so far I have chili pepper plants and bananas. Hope to get other produce growing.
