A Good Day!!!
Went for a walk with my little girls to grab a few things at publix. What would have been a $96.59 shopping trip, turn out to be,,, ready?? OOP $16.36. some things I picked up were:
4 steamfresh meals@ $4.99 had 2 BOGO q's and 2 $1.50/1 4 college inn broth/carton@ @2.49 BOGO had 4 $1/1 q's(got all 4 for 98 cents!!) 4 near east coucous@ $2.19 BOGO had 2 $1/2 q's combined 2 pillsbury simply PB cookies with 2 nature valley granola clusters to make use of the $4/4 GM products and also had 2 $1.60 q's for granola and 2 $1.25 q's for the cookies(making the 4 items 30 cents) 2 country crock@$1.99 BOGO had 2 50 cents q's (doubled) making them free 100ct. lipton tea finally used my free q 2 pep/farms goldfish@2/$3 has a $3 q for any pep/farms item(from the company in the mail) bought some other things, can't remember it all right now but just wanted to share a little. I thought it was a pretty good walk! The 4 steamfresh alone would have been $20 so I think it's safe to say I did O.K.

The best part of the day.......the walk with the children.....priceless.
I live in a rural area, we could never walk to the store......... How was the 'WALK' home with all that stuff? Did you have a pull behind or something?

I usually walk back when I don't pick up much but I had to get my girls wic items so 2 gallons of milk wasn't cutting it!!! The store is a little more than a mile away but I love walking, living in N.Y. all my life I never learned to drive but I have a neighbor who drove a taxi, he no longer does but he held on to a few clients on the side and he's become good friends with my husband and I so when I need to go anywhere I call him because hubby is overseas. It became a nice friendship now, him and wife come to all of our BBQ's when hubby is home, so needless to say,,,, I definately called him for the trip home! I do miss the walk both ways though, it's good exercise and I do have the best conversations with my girls, 2 & 3 are great ages!
