I am hosting a family reunion this week. First one ever! I priced my groceries out and it should come in just under $200. I didn't think that was too bad since it's a three day event, there's a little over forty persons, and almost three meals a day. (the first and last day won't have breakfast and dinner, respectively) I only have to go to like 4 or 5 stores to get it to $200, but I think it's worth it. Stressful though!

Way to go! Entertaining can be elegant and cheap at the same time. Thanksgiving for 12 should cost nowhere near $125 if you start planning and shopping now. Good luck!!

Excellent job!! As for the Turkey Day Dinner, why wouldn't it be possible? Rememer to buy things when they are sale. Some of these items go on sale for next to nothing or nothing with q's after say Turkey day or Christmas. If the exp dates are good until next year, then why not.

Yup. Stock up beforehand and be good to go for Turkey day or any other celebration.

Another great job by Cherry Picker!

I was planning on it anyway, but this really inspires me to plan my Thanksgiving meal way ahead of time. I do already have some Qs set aside to use a few weeks before the big day.

Be sure to do the search that CP mentioned above. There is some great info there.

That's inspiring. I'm going there now to check out the holiday meal planner. Thanks for the tip.
