I'm new to couponing. The 2 closes stores for me are QFC (which are not listed on any couponing site - i wonder why??? ) and then the safeway which i don't really like. (the qfc is nicer).

Please do My DD is in Northern CA. I do as many of the match up for her as I can & send her q's. Posts here would be very helpful as well as any sneek peeks of upcomming sales so I can get them there in time for her to use. Does anyone know if they double or take expired Q's or is this YMMV? I saw a Dominiks coupon policy that said they do. Also saw several other things in the policy that I haven't seen at other stores ie limit in number of same item q's you can use, coupon must be less that 50% of the cost of the product etc. Confusing to learn from afar. I sent them an email asking for clarification.

Our weekly ad always has 4 doublers ($2.00 total). If they have expired q's on an item in the store, they will honor it. But, if I bring them in, they won't.

My MIL was here visiting, she's from Oregon. I was showing her couponmom & a few other sites I use. Showed her specifically this thread, since it would show her deals in her area.
Our Safeways here in CA do not double like the ones up there, though they seem to run the same sales.

We never have doublers, but I've not had any trouble using multiples of Qs or Qs that make the item free.

Lately, I have been buying Hefty One Zip bags which are Ziploc brand and eleigible for the SC johnson $5 rebate when you buy 3 items 9look under the "rebate" category in forum). At my store, several sizes are clearly marked "when you buy 4, each is $1.25". The boxes have .20 peelies on them that you can use right away, or use Qs from inserts. With the rebate and peelies, and even including a stamp to send off rebate, these end up being FREE and a slight money maker!

I get free things there every week, but I have heard from others that some cashiers will stick to policy and if the q is over 50% of the item's value they will not accept it. I've never had that problem yet and hopefully never will. I find lots of stuff on the clearance rack there. I used to shop at Safeway every once in a blue moon for a hamburger sale. Now I'm there several days a week.

don't forget to use the Super Q's that came out last week - they are good through the 8th. Great deals on butter, cream cheese, etc.
