Does any one know where I can get a copy of Safeway's coupon policy? Apparently, there is a new one and I've only been able to locate the IP policy, I need one that covers newspaper coups as well.

My cashier today spent most of her time on the phone while scanning my order, no eye contact what. so. ever...Cash register beeped on a few coupons, she told me I couldn't stack a Safeway coup with a manu. coup, told me that I couldn't use two .35c/2 items (Domino sugar) even though I was buying 4 items. Held up the whole line of customers to go speak to manager. The entire time she acted like I smelled funny (I don't), she had a strange smirk on her face. Manager said they had a new policy but did not offer to provide me with a copy and I was too rattled to ask for one. He told her to push them through "but just this time".

I've been spending my money at Safeway for three years now. I was shocked at the way I was treated. I think I'll stick to Giant. They love me there and I love the hand held scanner which gives me extra discounts.
