    Default Did you notice?

I noticed this morning that a lot of the limits on Safeway sales were odd numbers. Like the Kraft salad dressing is limit 3. I wish they'd make it an even number to coincide with my coupons which are for $1 off 2. I had to only buy 2 since what's gonna happen to number 4? LOL

    Wish I could tell 'em!

Hi 1smartookie, I notice it's rather a ghost town around here. Too bad, I'd like to get better at knowing the sale trends at Safeway. Unfortunately for me our main store here in Oakland, CA is Lucky's, not a large chain so hard to muster any group momentum.

I was loving the great prices on avocados at Safeway a few weeks ago...now hoping for some more produce deals...

I am also disappointed by the level of participation on these boards. I have started many threads that seem to just die. I would love to compare notes with someone who is also shopping No. California Safeway, since two heads are better than one, KWIM??? Would love to chat with you if you are interested...

Wish I could use Safeway more, it's the smallest of the three grocery stores in my area so I don't go there enough to know their sales cycles. I've just started couponing over the last two months on a modest basis (I don't have a binder). Do you have a sense of Safeway's sales cycles, what goes on sale when?

As an aside, I just picked up some of their Louisiana ribs in the deli section, on sale for Memorial Day at $5.99--they made for a pretty tasty and quick after-work meal!

We have Randalls instead of Safeway (same company) and I find their everyday prices to be QUITE high. But they tend to have deeper discounts when things go on sale.

    For example, ending today:
    pint of blueberries - $0.99
    red seedless grapes - $0.99/lb
    cherries - $1.97/lb
    wheat thins - $1.69/box
ISO: Good deals on meat, veggies, berries, dairy, & nuts

I am just getting back to this site after being gone awhile. I would also love it if we could get this area more active! Same here about starting many threads. there must be a number of us who shop at Safeway. I'm in WA state, but assume they are about the same. I only have 2 grocery stores in my area, so Safeway gets a lot of my business.

I noticed two 2 coupon booklets this week. One is "Simple Summer Seafood" and the back cover says "Get out and Grill." i found them by the seafood counter and there are tons of Q's for products from shrimp to o Organics item to ketchup. I also found a coupon booklet that is the size of a kid's large sticker - I think they were meant to be stuck to packages, but found them in a hanger by the crackers. they are Nabisco booklets and have 5 $1 Q's for Oreo items, crackers and nuts.

I also have a Randalls and their everyday prices are high; however, their sales on their lost leader items are quite good. Ck out their esaver q's... Some are high $ value, like $3 off.

I hope you find the booklets. The seafood/grill one has good Q's. I'm going to use the Grey Poupon, Pam, O organics, and Primo Taglio ones tomorrow.

    Good luck!
