Default A little tip I have found...

I have been checking the printables on the Safeway website and noticed a trend that is worth sharing. If you go to the printables, sometimes there is a coupon for a produce or meat. If you print it and hang onto it, sometimes it gets you a great deal in a few weeks. That just happened with roasts for me and also last week with the asparagus. It doesn't happen a lot, but I have started printing those coupons, just in case since they don't expire before the sale, but once the sale starts the coupon isn't there anymore to print. Weird, eh???

Any other tips for shopping Safeway to the fullest??? Help!!!

Are they store Qs? I hardly ever go to Safeway, but it might be nice once in a while to pick up some great meat bargains.

    Thanks for post,

    Question

So I went to Safeway for my first trip to be a strategic shopper (read the book, thought I had it figured out) well 1 1/2 hours later knew I did not have it figured out. was trying to get the $10 after you buy $ 25 of certain products. well didn't know it only applied to specific sizes of products , had to make 3 trips to the checkout line. Hope it gets easier lol

What really, really helps with those style shopping trips is to separate in your cart what is part of the deal and what isn't. I put the deal parts into my reusable shopping bags as I go. When I get the amount that I need for the deal, I fold the bag down and put another on top of it. This is great in the buy 10 type deals too. Otherwise I get confused.

Be sure that you unload all of it for your checker, though. Not fair if you make them unbag and then rebag. HTH

Thanks for the tip. DD wil be visiting soon and she wants to learn how to shop the way we do. All safeway tips are helpful. I don't have one locally so I'll be relying heavily on these types of posts.

Those are great ideas!! I had the same problem w/ the buying certain items of frozen foods. I didn't read the ad the way I should have read the ad. I was pretty put out with it!!

I have noticed the same thing about the IP on their website. It happened w/ the asparagus, which I thought was a fluke, but then it happened with something else...I don't think it was the roast.

Anyway...something else I heard this week, but I haven't checked it out is buy the Scubbing Bubbles Sprayer for $6.99, use the $5/1 MQ, use the Buy Sprayer get a Free Refill IP then receive $2 CAT at check out. One of my coupon buddies in town tried it and said it did work. She saw it on another website somewhere. She's a member of this forum too...I thought she had posted it, but I'm not sure.

You are right about sharing the tips & deals...I don't always think to do it. I will try to do better...

DANG! I bought the sprayer today and didn't see about the other. Maybe I'll have to go back... Did your friend give the product a review? Wondering if it works and if it's worth the trip back...
