    Exclamation Safeway Policy

    Hi everyone,

I do not know if this is just in Oregon or if it's Country wide.

This is what happen at Safeway.

Last weekend , Friday. I went to Safeway did my shopping. I went to the Deli and got a Chinese Dinner for 2 . It's normal price during the week Monday - Thursday is $13.95. On Friday - Sunday it's $11.95.

anyways, When the cashier ran up the dinner on Friday it came up $13.95. I told her the sign in the Deli said $11.95 on Friday - Sunday only . She called the store manager, he came over check it out and said " This is your lucky day" and with that I was like huh? He said Safeway has a policy if " ANY " item in the store does NOT ring up correct price as advertise, then the product is FREE.

I do not know if this is just in Oregon or if it's country wide. Thought I would like you all know about it. Watch your prices..

I've shopped Safeway for years and never heard of them doing it.

Typically, the deli items after 7pm are all marked down. If anything is left after 9pm it is super cheap.

That is how it is in Dominicks(Safewayaffiliate). I have this happen a few things. When it happens on with a multiplie item purchase, I would get the 1st one free and the rest the difference.

Nice when your not expecting it.

Yeah, same here. I been shopping at safeway years also. When he told me this I was shocked. Then I was thinking after I left the store, How many times have I walk out of the store, and didn't realize the prices didn't come up correctly. But what is told me was "ALL" products that safeway carries, if they do not ring up correctly they are free. So for no I on, I'm keeping a better eye on them ringing things up..LOL

The deal is the same in Northern CA. Anything that doesn't ring up correctly is free, but you have to call it.
