Exclamation Question about rebate

I was told I could cash my rebate check from Rite Aid at my bank but when I went to cash it they told me it was invalid and had to use it at Rite Aid. I have a $75 rebate check coming to be for August deals, so am I gonna have to use $75 up in one trip just to get it cashed?????

yeah, seriously--my bank never gives me an issue either. maybe try a different branch...

i have also used the rebate checks at RA (they do it like a normal check), but you're right--that would have to be SOME TRIP.

I'm sure you just caught someone on a bad day. HTH!

I'm not sure about $75, that may be a little much, but Rite Aid will give you back change if you don't spend it all.

Thanks for the suggestions with trying a different branch. I had cashed the first one I got in June, but they would not cash the one for the July and thought maybe Rite Aid changed something. I was a little worried since the August one is a big amount.

Never had a problem at the bank. It's a regular check. That's why I like the Rite-Aid program. My $$$ are returned to me as real money, not as store dollars that are only valid at a particular retailer.

I wrote to Rite Aid regarding this issue and they confirmed me that I can deposit in a bank. I am not sure if your case is due to the difference between cash in or deposit.

anyway, shd not be a problem
