Default $25 in Staples Rewards wyb $40 Case/Ream Paper

I just got a flyer in my rewards check from Staples Office Supply - this is a good deal on Paper (if you print alot like I do)

Valid 4-25-10 to 5-22-10 - Spend $40 on any combination of case or ream paper and get $25 back in Staples rewards - Min purchase of $40 in cases and/or reams must be made in the same transaction to qualify. Maximum benefit of $50 back in Rewards for the promo. Limit one Staples rewards account per person. Offer not valid on single or multipart computer paper.

If you order online or over the phone you would have to spend $150 per the flyer - so in the store would be best I guess.

They give an example in the flyer of Buy HammerMill CopyPlus Case $40.99 - less $25 you will get in rewards back - actual cost of the case becomes $15.99 after rewards rebate.

Remember to print out the Email cpns that staples sends out weekly that say "good only online or over the phone" - they always accept them in the store for me - they simply enter the code into the computer and it takes it.

So a deal might look like:
    2 cases of paper $40.99 = $81.98
    less $25/$75 printed email cpn
    making oop $56.98
Then get back $50.00 in rewards
So Two cases of paper for $6.98

Anyone know if you would pay for your paper with Staples Rewards (ie from recycling ink cartridges), if you would still get your $50 Rewards back? I may have to try it.

I've been wondering this too. I just started shopping at Staple's, just bought the 2 packs of Duracell batteries that were free after rebate, so I'm wondering if when I get my $19.98 check if I can use it on other free after rebate items and receive another check or not.

I use my rebate checks all the time on future deals - so YES is the answer to both of your questions above - think of your rewards checks just like a CVS ECB for example - you can "roll it"

Just make sure you present them last for payment on a deal - ie if you have a staples cpn that says get $25 off $75 - present the cpn first so that your total purchase was at $75 or above then present your Rewards checks - that will then get you your oop.

Thanks for the reply. I have two $30 Staples Rewards Certificates, so I think I will buy the paper and the Duracell batteries and "roll" my rewards.

I am super excited about this! I have a mild obsession with office supplies, so this will be great!!

I thought the Rewards money was always placed on the Rewards Card (the plastic that is mailed to you), so all you have to do is enter your Rewards Card Number to apply whatever balance on the card is towards the online check out due.

    Also, anyone know where I can get a $25 off $75 or a $25 off $100 coupon?

First off - sign up for a Staples rewards account - then go onto the Staples web site and sign up under your account to get emails and sale flyers etc. - This is how you get the CPN for the $25/75 etc emailed to you. As a matter of fact just got another one yesterday for $25/$100

Staples provides rewards in multiple ways - They will email you your rewards for turning in used ink cartridges - you get $3 for each one turned in - this email comes in about the middle of each month and you print it and take it to the store.

Then they will send you a "Check" like reward snail mail for the purchases you make in any given month - they used to mail these quarterly but recently they changed this to monthly - this whole rewards program clearly explained on their web site.

No plastic "rewards" cards anymore - except once in awhile I will get a snail mail plastic cpn - like a $25/$75 - these really come from being signed up for every possible option on their web site.

Also look on the back of their "sale booklets" usually by the check out area - they frequently will have cpns on the back of that - Like recently there was one for a free DVD player

Thanks for this, I have not gotten intoe staples before because one time I went there to get ink and it was $30 for 1 thing of ink. Decided I ddin't like it then, but the teachers at the schools have to provide their own wupplies including paper, and that would be a great gift for them! I am going to look into Staples rewards today!!!
