Facebook had a coupon for Baja Fresh (a burrito place on the west coast) today for a free burrito when you bought a drink. My husband used it this afternoon successfully, so I figured I'd use one this evening on my way to work. The first location I went to had a sign on the door saying they weren't accepting any of the free coupons. I went inside to inquire, and they said they were just a franchise and couldn't afford to keep giving away free food. They directed me to another location (one that was corporate) and suggested I try there. I went to the second BF, and they flat out locked the doors 15 minutes early, turning away no less than 10 people that I saw pull up. There were still customers inside eating, but still closed early to avoid honoring their coupons.
I'm SOOOO calling corporate tomorrow.... Grrrrr.... I know it's annoying to complain about free food, but it's irritating when stores don't honor their own offers!

I went to the one on Ventura and Winnetka (sign saying no more) then the one on Canoga and Oxnard (closed early).
To their credit, I just got off the phone with corporate, and they're sending me a Q for a free drink and entree. Very nice customer service representative.

I had no problems redeeming 4 coupons yesterday for each member of my family. Granted, I did go right at 11:00 am when they opened to avoid traffic and them "running out". I think a call to corporate is a good idea. These businesses have to be consistant!!!
