If you have a Kerasota theater near you sign up for the $5 Buck Club. You have to wait 2 weeks for the new releases to go on the list, but then they are $5 bucks all the time. That is how we take the family.
Welcome to Kerasotes.com Basically how it works is once you sign up, they send you a card in the mail for the $5 Buck Club that you show when you purchase your ticket (Need one card per person). Every week they email you a list of the movies on the $5 Buck list so you know what is in the list that week. The movies are usually 2 weeks old (sometimes longer if really big, but that is rare) Currently they have in our theater: Angels & Demons Dance Flick Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Star Trek Terminator Salvation X-Men Origins: Wolverine Hope this is helpful. |

Free Summer Movies for Kids - 2009 Edition
Written by Nickel - 8 Comments In honor of Memorial Day, which marks the unofficial start of summer, it’s time to start thinking about cheap entertainment for you and your kids. Given that catching a movie is one of the best ways to beat the heat, I’ve put together a list of free (or really cheap) summer movie theater promos. In case you’re not aware, theaters often have special summer promos where they show G or PG rates files on weekday morning for free, or nearly so. While we’re generally happy with our Netflix membership, nothing beats an occasional trip to an actual movie theater. What follows is my best attempt at compiling these free movie offers for major theater chains. If your favorite theater isn’t listed, give them a call, as it’s possible that I either missed them, or they didn’t have their information listed online. Free Summer Movies for Kids - 2009 Edition |

Movie previews are always fun when you can get the special passes, but be prepared to show up early in order to make sure you can get in....
Also, check your city listings/local newspaper/local library for special events and movies. In my city, 3 main "gathering spots" (i.e. parks, squares, city market) have free Thursday or Friday night movies for families. Not first run movies, but they can be a lot of fun! And one of our local libraries shows special "themed" movies or kids' movies at certain times for free. A good way to go out with your kids or families for free! |
