Default Question about restaurant.com?

On several of the coupons you can get a 25 dollar gift certificate but have to have a minimum purchase of 50 dollars when dining. Can I get (2) 25 dollar gift certificates to use at once thus covering the 50 dollar minimum or can you only use one at a time (25 dollar gift cert and 25 cash out of pocket)?? Hope this makes sense.http://www.restaurant.com/index.asp?...09&pid=1430548

I was skeptable about this in the beginning(if they would actually take it), I bought a $25one with a minimum purchase of $35. My total bill was $42.00 and all I had to pay was the difference of $16! Yahoo....I think you can only use one per trip!

You can only use one certificate per visit, per party. So even is someone else at your table has a cert you cannot split the tab out to use two.

I have used at least ten of these without a single problem. Just be sure to read all the details before you buy as some restaurants limit the days you can come and that it has to be dinner or with two entree purchase etc.

Last thing, I never buy any certs until the end of the month because they always go on sale for 60% off and then I will stock up.

If you do not want to wait or cannot - no worries. They usually let the certs go for 50% off after the first week of the each month. The promotion they just had ended but in another week it should start again.

Enjoy!

You can only use one per trip and one coupon for the restaurant each month. There are time restrictions, as well as restrictions on the purchase of alcohol. Be aware that you cannot use these coupons with other deals, such as happy hour or early bird. However they are a great deal and a great way to experience new restaurants. ENJOY

What about if a $50 certificate is offered and the minimum for the restaurant is $35 (or $50)? Could I just buy the $50 cert. and use that to cover the minimum since it is only one cert? Or do I have to spend $35 OVER the amount of the cert. if $35 is the minimum?

EDIT: Nevermind, I realized that the mininum changes with the higher cert so they get you somehow.

I just bought 6 $10 gift certificates to 3 different restaurants in my area. Only paid $3.60 since they end up being $.60 each with that 80% discount!

Can't wait to try some new restaurants out and some old favorites!!! WOO HOO!!!

Just a heads up, if you are not seeing any restaurants that you want to buy from as all of the certs have sold out, you can just buy gifts certs directly from Restaurants.com and then redeem them later.

I do this for the restaurants that always sell out of certs before they go on sale. So I can still get the bargain price and eat at the restaurants I really want on the cheap.
