Hello! We are looking for your best tips on where to find good restaurant deals, specifically in the Georgia area or national deals that would work anywhere. Please post your tips here and we will randomly select a few posters to get a free $25 restaurant gift certificate at the end of this week!
Ideas we are looking for include: --good BOGO offers or coupons that can be printed for restaurants --restaurant websites that always have printable coupons --restaurants that have Kids Eat Free nights --special free giveaways like McDonald's free coffee days --special new offers like "coffee and a bagel for only $2 every day" from well-known national chains Or whatever else you know! Thanks! Stephanie

Used this one Friday night. The manager brought the coupon back to us so we could use again. As well, the table next to us gave us one of their extra coupons. |

Here's a few I really enjoy:
Chick Fil A: Family night on Tuesdays- buy one combo and receive a free child's meal. O'Charley's- Kids 12 and under eat free every night of the week (up to 2 per paying adult) IHOP- Kids eat free on Mondays and Tuesdays Captain D's- KIDS EAT FREE on Thursday. Get two free Kid's meals with any adult entree purchase at regular price, dine in only. Also have a Senior Day at Captain D's that my parents take advantage of every week. My parents are actually only 52 and don't really look that age, so I believe our local Captain D's Senior Day is 50 and over. Check your nearest location for specifics-- Sunday and Wednesday are Super Senior Days at Captain D's. Guests 62 and over can choose from one of ten great meals, with a drink for just $4.49. And if you want your old favorite, you can still get $1 off any regular menu item on Sunday and Wednesday. PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS ONLY- please check with your local Captain D's for their Senior Day program. Last edited by kristinbrianne; 02-16-2009 at 05:02 PM. Reason: misspelled a word |

Kids eat free at Denny's on Tuesdays.
Join your child up for Denny's birthday club and they get a free meal on their birthday and they randomly receive Qs for free desserts different times of the year. Waited in line this morning at a new Chik fil A grand opening and rec'd coupons for free sandwiches. Check your area for grand openings also. If you sign your kids up for the Bob Evans birthday club they'll receve a coupon for a free kid's meal. Pizza Hut gives Senior discounts everyday. At McDonald's you can get a coke for .69 if you're a senior, just ask for a senior coke. Sign up for TGIF's Give Me More Stripes choose your card style and you'll get a one time pass for a free appetizer/dessert and a one time front of the line pass. This is a great pass it can get very crowded. It's only a one time thing but if you're doing something special and having a large crowd it's great to use it then. I guess this is more of a savings strategy than a special offer...
Our bill at our favorite Mexican restaurant (Rancho Viejo) was consistently around $60 or more for a family of 5...(3) adult entrees, (2) kids meals, drinks, and a couple of desserts to share...nothing extranagant, but it adds up. Eventually we ended up just not going out to eat because it was too expensive. We talked to the kids and told them that if they would drink water at the restaurant, we'd pick up a bottle of soda and a pack of cupcakes or some ice-cream at the grocery store...whichever is on sale ;~) Our regular entrees were around $10 each. But we found that we could get side orders, including tacos and burritos for around $2- $5 each. We each get a side order of a burrito or a taco and then get a few more side orders to share. Add the free chips and salsa and nobody goes home hungry. Our dinner bill went down to around $30 and then we spend $5 or less on treats from the super market to eat at home while we watch a movie together. For us, the key to making this work was a lot like grocery shopping. We check out the menu online and decide ahead of time what we plan on getting at the restaurant...instead of impulse shopping once we get there. To get the kids on board, we created a vacation account and any money left from the entertainment budget goes into the vacation account at the end of the month. When we reach our goal, we get a Disney vacation. |
