Two packs ballpark franks, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup ketchup
slice hot dogs into 3s
put in crock pot let cook all day starting on high.
may not seem like a lot of juice at first but it will get juicy
it's called hot brats
If you want to make extra just increase sugar and ketchup according to every pack or two packs of hot dogs

One of my favorites is sausage balls. Take 1 pound of sausage (raw) 2 cups bisquick, and 2 cups (more or less to taste) , and 1/2 cup milk. mix together well with hands. Roll into small balls (golf ball size or smaller) Bake at 400 until browned good. When I make these I try to catch sausage and cheese on sale and this weeks inserts had bisquick Q's and it makes a ton. They are also pretty easy to carry. Hope it helps.

What about spinach dip? You can do with bread or tortilla chips. I like to use the Knors vegetabler soup mix, but when I went to Kroger yesterday, they were out. I bought the lipton packets of veg soup mix and tried it out on my family before I made one for work and it was pretty good. All you need is a packet of the Knors veg soup mix, (or Liption) 8 oz of sour cream and 1 cup mayo.
Allrecipes has a ton of great appetizer ideas too..

Ahhh...you beat me to it Helene. You serioulsy cannot go wrong with spinach dip. My family loves this anytime of the year. Add some green onions and water chestnuts to the above recipe (and the thawed spinach, but be sure to get as much water out of it as possible)! I always use the Haiwaiin King round bread. There is a $1.00 IP floating around that would make a little cheaper to purchase. I also reduce my mayo to about 3/4 cup.

You know what also makes it good..my mom always does this, but I always forget. Buy one of those small blocks of cream cheese and let it sit out at room temp. Add it to the mix and it gives it a yummy flavor. This weekend, totally by accident I bought the sour cream with chives in it. I thought oh great and that is another reason I wanted to try it out on my family first and it was really good! Didn't have to put the onions in it..which I don't normally do anyway only because I hate cutting up onions...
I never thought about the Hawaiin bread, usually I use rye or sour dough but I bet the Hawiian bread is good too, but mostly I just use tortilla chips because I make a bowl of it quite often and put it in the refrig for my family to munch on..Actually my son wanted to have it for dinner tonight. It is the only way he will eat spinach LOL

The Haiwaiin bread is great with it. I cut a large hole out the middle of the bread and add the spinach dip to the hole. Everyone loves it.
